We arrived on the island of Koh Lanta yesterday and as always the journey was full of surprises. With experiences from our trip to Malaysia – we felt strategically prepared to handle anything the Thai could throw at us.

But the Thai people are goddamn ninjas when it comes to cheating and misleading tourist! The boat trip from Phuket to Koh Lanta in Thailand took way way longer than announced. The taxi driver drove us to the wrong place. He dropped us of at a hotel that is surely owned by his family. Not what we asked for – it is a terrible place.

In return, we quickly realized that Koh Lanta is a small slice of paradise! The island is practically one long white sandy beach with very clear water. And along the beach cozy beach bars and bamboo huts are beautifully distributed. The tourists simply haven’t discovered the Island yet.

This cooperates very well with the fact that we dropped of “millions” of tourists on Phi Phi Island on our way coming here. In addition to having the place to our selves everything is extremely cheap! We will certainly stay here for a couple of days – if we manage to find a new hotel.
